Stacey Watt, MD, MBA, MHPE, FASA, serves as a Clinical Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University at Buffalo, while also holding the position of Chief of Service at Kaleida Health. Notably, she is the first woman to hold both Chief of Service and Chair (interim) positions in the Department of Anesthesiology at Kaleida Health and the University at Buffalo, respectively. She is recognized nationally as an expert in Malignant Hyperthermia and has spearheaded initiatives to educate healthcare teams and the public on crisis response. Through her advocacy efforts and educational innovations, she has significantly contributed to the advancement of healthcare and STEM education, ensuring future physicians are well-trained, promoting diversity in STEM, and advocating for physician voices in healthcare decision-making.
