Kathleen Van De Loo, Executive Director

Kathleen, a Buffalo native, brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to mission-driven
nonprofit management and communications. As the founder and president of the Association Development Group, Inc. (ADG), Kathleen has a career-long passion for professional developmen
t, community impact, and membership-wide engagement. Her extensive background includes over a decade of experience as a communications director for major legal lobbying firms in Albany, New York, where she directed advocacy and political campaigns. 

Deeply committed to her profession and community, Kathleen has served on the board of directors of the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE), overseeing the development of its groundbreaking Association Leadership Academy. She has also received the George C. Burton Award, ESSAE’s highest honor for contributions to the field of association management and communications. Additionally, Kathleen has contributed her expertise to several community organizations.

In her new role as Executive Director of MSCE, Kathleen will collaborate closely with Society leadership and a team of experienced professionals dedicated to member services, professional programming, and communications. She is excited to work with the MSCE board to support our members professional goals and impact patient care, public outreach, advocacy, and medical advancement. Kathleen is particularly passionate about reaching early career professionals and is impressed by the board’s dedication to supporting medical students and practitioners new to the counties we serve.
